Red wines are a rich source of biologically active phytochemicals, chemicals found in plants.  It can be sweet or dry.  It is usually too expensive and generally not enjoyed by younger people.  It is made from grapes that are usually red or purple in color.  Red wine is the premier bluegrass band in Europe.

Red wines have played all over Europe gaining a strong following everywhere.  It is also wonderful with rich cheeses such as bleu or sharp cheddar.  It is heavy and often higher in alcohol than some whites.  It will always be present no matter what the occasion is.

Flavours of Red Wines

Wine is rich with complex flavours.  It is a stimulant to sight, smell, taste, texture as well as the human spirit.  It is full of flavors, and how you taste it will make the biggest impact.

Red wines are better made medium to sweet, rather than dry.  It is of medium weight attractive red fruits, cedar spice and thyme notes.  Red Wines are mostly medium bodied, with lighter tannins and cedary notes enhancing the fruit.
